Description
I took down the last one and re-uploaded a newer version, the older version looked really bland and meh.. so I wanted to go back with my pencils and touch it all up some more. I think it looks a bit better now
Done with Faber-Castell colouring pencils and black pen.
Clockwise from top left: Edward Elric (Full Metal Alchemist), Sebastian Michaelis (Black Butler), Homurabi (Monochrome Factor), Teresa (Claymore), Axel (Kingdom Hearts), L (Death Note), Kuroyukihime (Accel World).
These are not my own characters & I take no credit for them, they all belong to their respective artists.
And I realise this is not really art and probably shouldn't be on here according to many of you, but I'm putting it here anyway along with my similar works.. as a kind of visual diary of my progress. I would love to be a good manga-style artist, and I would like to create my own characters and art, but I am not at a level where I feel I can do that, this is practice. By drawing my favourite characters the way their original artist's portray them, I am becoming more familiar with different drawing & shading styles, clothing, hairstyles, expressions, anatomy, etc etc.. I think it's a good way to learn and practice, and eventually I will have gained the skills to develop my own style and originality.. that's the plan anyway
So mock me all you like for lacking originality/imagination, but at the end of the day it's up to me and only me to decide how I can best learn and develop skills, and I'll have fun doing it
Of course if anyone has any advice to share on drawing manga, I'd appreciate it.
